A New Adventure

Greetings, all! As some of you may be aware, I recently wrote my first novel, Believing In Horses, a story about a young girl committed to saving unwanted horses. I’m fortunate to be working with a publisher, and anticipate publication in the next few months. As a new author, and a new blogger, I look forward to finding out how much we all have in common. Looking forward to the future and this new adventure….Sincerely, Valerie Ormond

  1. Pretty nice post. I just stumbled upon your blog and wanted to say that I have really enjoyed browsing your blog posts. In any case I’ll be subscribing to your feed and I hope you write again soon!

  2. Valuable info. Lucky me I found your site by accident, I bookmarked it.

  3. I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don’t know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading.

  4. love your pictures

  5. I do agree with all the ideas you have presented in your post. They are very convincing and will definitely work. Thanks for the post.

  6. Thank you, Barbara, Lori, and Dean, for your support! I will keep you all filled in on the progress.

  7. Barbara Wilson Says:

Congratulations! Your Mom showed me some of the pictures and they are so awesome. Your horses are so beautiful! How will you be able to decide which pictures to use? I am so excited about your book and can’t wait to read it and read it to my grandaughter, Memphis. It sounds like a wonderful book. Although I am an adult, I still have trouble reading Black Beauty. Any type of cruelty to any animal is very distressing. We went to Chincoteague for the first time this summer and we had a wonderful time. The children enjoyed it so much. The children really enjoyed the story “Misty of Chincoteague .” Your book will make great birthday and Christmas presents. I am going to be at a craft show in Centreville on December 4, and if your book is available I would love to have some copies of it to display at my table.

  8. I am soooo excited for you Valerie to achieve your dream! And I am so happy I was able to play a small part in this exciting endeavor. All of us at Freedom Hill Horse Rescue think your book will be a wild success and we have extreme gratitude for including us in this wonderful story.

  9. Valerie –

Knowing your humor and love of horses, I am certainly looking forward to buying this book and sharing it with my granddaughters. They will love the opportunity to see how a little girl can make a difference in this great big world.

Hope to see you at the signing,
